NIET provides separate accommodation facilities for boys and girls. An on-campus Bank and ATM has also been provided. The NIET has provided air-conditioned amphitheatre style classrooms. The Library of NIET is equipped with books, periodicals, national and international journals, CD-ROMS, covering all aspects of academic studies and research material. It also helps students get education loan. The NIET works to provide excellent atmosphere and breeding ground for ideas and talent. The NIET College has a large library with networking and e-journal facility. The laboratories are equipped with all modern equipments. The computer centre has necessary hardware and software. Hostels are available for the boys while one for girls. Other facilities available are canteen, guest house, telephone booth, gymnasium, post office and bank.

The Classrooms

The Classrooms provide the most conducive atmosphere for dynamic and focus discussion. The Classrooms are designed as auditoriums with step-up sitting to facilitate discussions and are equipped with state-of –the –art facilities.The air-conditioning in the classrooms creates the right atmosphere for long hours of learning.They are designed to promote maximum interface between the faculty and the students. Specifically designed air condioted Lecture Theatres and styled lecture halls in manner to create sitting arrangement for the clear green board view from every corner.All the theatres are equipped with OHP,LCD projecters and CCTVs.

Wi-Fi Campus & E-Classrooms

21st Century belongs to “Era of Web Information” as Internet plays backbone for every aspect of life. Understanding the need and importance of Internet in the field of education the campus is supported by round the clock High Speed Internet Connectivity of 45Mbps and have strong backbone of dedicated OFC link throughout the campuses with the help of which the students can surf the Web and can enhance their knowledge as well as extract unlimited e-Information. In addition to this, the students are also being provided Wireless connectivity (Wi-Fi) using which the students can access online information anywhere in and around the campus using their Laptops Spacious e-classrooms with excellent ambience and equipped with all the modern teaching aids like LCD, NPTEL video courses, multi media projectors, etc. are available to the students

Library

Welcome to the Library and Information Division of NIET. It was established in the year 2011. It serves as a knowledge hub containing resources not only in the form of print but also in e-versions and provides students access to a vast repository of resources, including books and Journals both print and online. In an academic institution Library plays a very important role in the dissemination of knowledge. In fact, the ambiance of the library reflects the quality of the education imparted by the College. NIET has recognized the importance of the academic vibrations required in the library and it has been growing in this direction, right from its very inception.

Our Library is a member of INDEST-AICTE consortium and National Library Network - DELNET. Information from National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) and other Electronic Resources are also available for the user community. Only Library members are allowed access to materials (such as Books, Journals, Magazines, Digital material etc.) available in the library collection. The Library reading space can accommodate nearly 200 members. The NIET Library is fully computerized with smart ID cards and barcode technologies. All the Library functions such as Acquisition, Circulation, Cataloguing and Serial control have been automated using integrated software called 'LIBRARY DIMENSION'.

The College has built an aesthetic and spacious new Central Library with a total floor area of 1400 sq m.The present Library houses more than 23,000 documents consisting of Technical Books, Full -Text E-Resources, Bibliographic Databases, Journals both print and on-line and Digital resources reports, theses, standards and back volumes of journals. The library subscribes to nearly 180 printed journals and technical.

We have separate collection of books such as Book Bank, Career & Personality Development, and Fiction etc. Besides the Central library, there are 8 department libraries, each with more than 1000 documents. Library follows the open access system The Library also subscribes to more than 200 E-Journals through the INDEST-AICTE Consortium. The Library comes with provision for modern facilities including Library Automation, Research Scholars Cubicle, Tutorial Room, IEEE Branch Library, Multi Media Center, Stack Section, Reference Section, and Circulation Section with advanced computers and other peripherals connected in LAN. The Reference section has open as well as closed access. It also has a network linked Photocopier installed to enable students to make printouts/copies. The Issue section has open access.

E-Libraries & Journals

CGC has computerized libraries. To encourage research activities and advanced reading, our libraries have memberships of many e-journals and databases of ASME. IEEE and ACM. This gives access to articles, books, and reference material online. The libraries have 129 web-based and 110 video courses prepared by the faculty of IITs and other leading institutions of India. These courses are taught over the Internet.

The central library of NIET is computerized and is stocked with thousands of books authored by authorities on the subject. The intake of books is a regular feature in the library and no important title related to thea courses of study is missed. In addition to the course books general books for personality development, general knowledge, handbooks, yearbooks, reference books etc. are also added to the collections. The library subscribes to national and international subject journals, magazines of current interest along with national and regional dailies to keep the students abreast with the day to day happenings in the world and their fields of study. The duplex library is tastefully furnished and it can seat 200 students at a time in its spacious reading halls. The serene atmosphere in the library with rows of neatly stacked books plays a major role in attracting the students to the library for serious study and supplementing their class notes.

The central library has a collection of 20582 volumes and subscribes to 54 periodicals. Apart from books it has a huge collection of Audio video material, CD’s & DVD’s. The library maintains a separate “Book Bank” collection exclusively for the meritorious students.

Computer Centre

The computer centre is a state of the art facility to cater to the needs of the academic as well as project cum research activities of an educational institution. It provides an ambience conducive for learning and acquiring new skills. NIET College has a well equipped computer centre with more than 200 latest computers and other modern amenities spared over a floor space of 1500 sq.ft. The Computer Centre of NIET College is supportive service centre helping he college to attain its Vision and Mission. The vision of the college is to become a centre par excellence of learning and the computer centre is turned to fulfill the vision. The aims and objectives for establishing this computer centre can be summarized as follows:

To support Graduate and Post-Graduate teachers, as well as students.
To support capacity building through workshops and seminar presentations.
To support staff and students' research through data analysis and Internet browsing.
To offer consultancy services in the area of computer literacy to the host community.
To provide technical aids and minor repairs on both hardware and software to the college community.
To expand the horizon of knowledge through networking.

The College computer center has two Computer Labs based on Windows platforms with most modern facilities having 100 computers each. All computers are networked with peer to peer network architecture. Laser Printers, Inkjet Printer, Scanner, and other peripherals are connected to the network.

One lab is primarily meant for students of B.Tech. Computer Applications, B.Sc. Electronic Equipment Maintenance, BCA with Computer Application. The other one is a common lab with Intel Dual Core systems with LCD monitor, mainly used by students of various courses such as M.B.A., B.B.A. and other B. Tech streams. Computer lab has dedicated BSNL Broadband Internet line of up to 2 Mbps speed, connected to more than 30 terminals throughout the college. Students and faculty have access internet after the regular and free working hours. Students are encouraged to hunt for material required for seminars and dissertations through the internet. They are given training to access Websites and e-journals.

Electricity Supply

The campus has 24 hours power supply. In case of power failure, generators will supply power to the college.

Mechanical Workshop

The institute has a state-of-the art workshop over 1000 sq mtr of area. It is aided with latest quality tools and equipments that would facilitate the intensive engineering craftsmanship. NIET possess well equipped workshops and labs including Communication Skills Lab. Chemistry Lab. Physics Lab. Hardware Lab (DCLD). Software Labs. Microprocessor Lab. Network and Electronic Devices Lab. Analog and Integrated Circuit Lab. Controls Lab. Instrumentation Lab. Theory of Machines Lab. Strength of Materials Lab. Applied Thermodynamics Lab. Manufacturing Processes Lab. Fluid Mechanics &- Fluid Machinery Lab. Engineering Materials and Metallurgy Lab. Refrigeration &. Air Conditioning Lab. Autocad and CAD/CAM Lab with high end CAD/CAM software.

Laboratories

The team of faculty member, supported by well –trained laboratory staff and technicians cater to the need for the over-all development of students in academics as well as in other technical activities. The Laboratories are Equipped with all equipments required to conduct different experienced as per the requirement of the University. A clean environment is always maintained in the laboratories & equipment, tools, material etc. are neatly stacked in designated paces.

Electronics and Communication Lab

The Electronics and Communication Lab has the facility of working in various areas like integrated circuit microprocessor, Micro controller and interface, microwave and optics, digital signal processing and VLSI. Using the lab the faculty members have made various research works like speech processing, water marking, Statistical Radar Signal processing and Neural Networks. They presented a paper to IEE Proceedings to UK i Statistical signal processing. With the help of this lab students have presented several papers in the areas of digital signal processing. VLSI, spread spectrum, Bio-Medical etc in the state, National level students Symposium. Original MAT LAB - Software (10 Users licence) with signal processing tool box is added to the Dept. to bring multi faceted knowledge in the ECE Dept.

Chemistry Lab

Chemistry Lab is well equipped with all necessary equipment & apparatus such as over Hot plate stirrer centrifuge water distillation assembly, electronics balance, Incubator, Hot water bath, Vacuum system etc. The chemistry lab is used for the purpose of first year classes for the chemistry students. The facilities available in the chemical lab are many. The salient features are a Decomposer, Digital Electronics Balancer the Hot air Oven. Digital instruments are used to find out the conductance of an electrolyte Flash point and fire point apparatus are available for the students. There are additional apparatus available exclusively for the students.

Physics Lab

Physics Lab is well equipped and well maintained with necessary equipments such as:
Newton’s Spectrometer, Polar meter, Nodal slide, carry foster bridge hall effects, laser experiments Stewart & Gees Tangent, Magnetic Hysteretic loop tracer. Stefan’s law experiment potentiometer, ballistic Galvanometer, coefficient of velocity, Energy bard gap etc. This lab is useful for the first year students and the students are given training in basic. This lab is fully equipped with modern instruments such as Ultrasonic Interferometer, Fiber optic cable system and Laser Grating, Research papers are presented at engineering level from this department.

Computer Lab

The Department of Computer Science has separate labs each department with latest technology. More than 200 computer terminals with Pentium IV high end configurations with powerful ZEON SERVERS are provided with Department. Now the Lab is used with LATEST PRO-E AND RATIONAL ROSE SUITE ENTERPRISES SOFTWARES and all the labs are connected through a Network. CAMPUS LAN at 100 MBPS band width and Microsoft Volume License Agreement are existing to benefit and impart the latest technique in the world arena.

Phonetic/Language Lab

NIET has a highly sophisticated language lab which gives every possible opportunity to the student to learn and practice for honing communication skill for enhancing employability in the corporate world. The language lab has both the features i.e computer aided language lab(CALL) and Web aided language lab(WALL). Language learning software makes the learning process interesting and exciting for the students.The spirit of learning English language is inculculated amongst students in highly participative environment through:

Seminar Hall

There is air-conditioned seminar hall with latest state-of-the-art audio-video facilities having good sitting capacity where regular seminars and workshops are held to boost up the knowledge and talent of students.

Sports Facilities

NORTHERN INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING & TECHNICAL CAMPUS, ALWAR, takes interest in providing ample opportunities and facilities for sports and games activities. The college aims at the holistic development of each student and the sports club activities have an important role in this. With a view to develop the all round personality of the students, the NIET emphasizes equally on sports. It is the constant Endeavour of the college to see that the students grow intellectually as well as physically. The students of the NIET regularly participate in inter-collegiate tournaments in various sports and games events both within the campus and outside the campus and won several prizes. The physical Education Department of the College regularly organizes Inter Collegiate competitions in various sports events and Inter College Tournaments in games. These competitions and tournaments are recognized by the affiliating Universities and involvement of students from many colleges are encouraged. The NIET has well equipped Basketball Hard Courts, Cricket Ground, Volley Ball Courts, Indoor Badminton Courts, Table Tennis Tables (Indoor) & Weight Training Gymnasiums.

Medical Facilities

NIET provides first-aid medical facilities to the students in case of need,tie-up with hospitals is there for handling needful cases. A First-Aid Medical box with latest medicines and necessary aids is a regular feature of NIET.A Clean & spacious First-aid medical room with a Medical Doctor & staffs is there where one can visit for any type of medical requirement.

College Canteen

Students are expected to take food only from the college canteen. For this, coupons have to be purchased in advance. Taking food from un-hygienic outside food shops may endanger your health. The canteen should not be used as a place for gossip and other leisure activities. Students are expected to leave the canteen as soon as they finish their meals or snacks.

Book Store

A Book Store functions at the entrance to the Administrative building. Students are expected to buy books and stationery items from the college bookstore which sells only authorized and genuine items. Special discounts and prizes will be given to students who patronize the college bookstore.

Curricular Activities

NIET offers a remarkable mix of academic, professional and social opportunities, a host of Co-Curricular activities enliven students life on the campus, adding zeal to their interest in their studies.

Orientation

All NIET students have to participate in our student & course orientation programme. The programme includes a familiarization tour of campus during which students are introduced to staff and different facilities. “We are with you at every step of the way”.

Industry Visits

In order to have better understanding of management, a number of industry visits are organized for students in consultation with concerned faculty. Students identify the companies as per the courses need of the concerned faculty. Students submit reports and make presentations. Students are also encouraged to help faculty members for MDPS, seminars and conferences.
